In Milaan worden op 7 en 8 april Europese Universiteitswedstrijden gehouden. De zesde editie van de wedstrijden is opgenomen in de internationale kalender van de wereldroeibond.

1 FIELD OF RACE
Milan Idroscalo, 2000m straight course. Capacity of the field: 8 lanes with “Albano” system, with non-moored start at 500m and moored start at 2000m. A map of the field is enclosed in the notice of the competition and will be displayed at the CUS Milano Nautical Centre.
2 PROGRAM
Friday 6th April, 9.30: the Regatta Committee will meet at the Lombard Regional Committee FIC Central Office to draw the lane numbers.
Saturday 7th April, 15.00: 500m preliminary men heats, 15.45: 500m preliminary women heats, 16.00: 2000m preliminary men heats.
Sunday 8th April, 12.00: Final “A” 500m, – men. 12.05: Final “B” 500m – men. 12.10 Final “A” 500m – women. 12.15: Final “B” 500m women. 16.00: Final “A” 2000m men. 16.10: Final “B” 2000m men.
The times of the finals are subject to change to meet TV requirements.
3 TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
The participation is reserved for student-athletes only. At least 7/8 of the rowers must be university students with the possibility of Open Coxes (including women), notwithstanding the Italian Regatta Code and F.I.S.A. Regatta Code. The age limit for the rowers is fixed at 29 (birth date after 31/12/1972) and there is no age limit for the coxes.
An especially made commission, composed of 3 members of different teams and 1 international referee, will check the university student status.
For maximun partecipation, is possible to enrole a national crew of different university.
4 IDENTITY PAPERS
Identity card, university document, Federal statement of appartenance or 2001 card.
5 ENTRY
Pre-enrolment via fax or e-mail is required by 15th February 2001 and confirmation should be made by 20th March 2001.
Pre-enrolment must report the approximate number of those taking part in the regatta, the name of the contact person, telephone number, fax number and e-mail, if available. Enrolment must be confirmed by sending names and personal and university data of the participants.
6 REGATTA COMMITTEE
The Committee will meet on Thursday April, 5th at 2.00 pm at the Lombard Regional Committee FIC Central Office to draw the lane numbers.

7 REGATTA COUNCIL ans TEAMS REGISTRATION
If necessary, the Council could be called by request of the President of the Jury.
The registration of the university teams will be carried out on Saturday 7th April from 9.30am to 10.30am at the CUS Milano “Club House”.
The commission will check the documents and confirm the enrolment. Any substitution of the athletes in the team must be reported by Wednesday 4th April 2001, 12.00 via FAX at number +39(02)70100067 or via e-mail at [e-mailadres verwijderd].
8 PRIZES
1. Every participant will receive a participation medal and the official T-shirt of the event.
2. The first three classified teams in each race (500m and 2000m men/women) will be awarded relative trophies.
3. There is one prize of 500 DM for the first classified team in the three finals “A”.
N.B. Prizes are not accumulable. CUS Milano and Lombard Universities crews will be excluded from the awarding.
9 RACING BOATS Teams must provide their own racing boat with the lane number and the protection ball on the bow.
CUS Milano will give a limited number of boat for European Universities.
10 ACCOMODATION There are three possible types of accommodation: CUS Milano can offer to your athletes free accomodation at the local youth hostels.
As well there are two possible types of accomodation:
Normal accommodation
1/2 Star Hotel Price for 2 nights/person 150DM (breakfast included)
High accomodation
3/4 Star Hotel Price for 2 nights/person 300DM (breakfast included)
Accommodations must be booked when enrolling. The total accommodation expenses have to be paid by yourself.
11 ORDER AND CLEANING The coach is responsible for the accommodation to be always in a proper condition.
It is strictly forbidden to prepare meals and to change any electrical and/or sanitary installation.
The users of the accommodation must pay all costs resulting from damages or defilement. CUS Milano declines all liabilities.
12 REGISTRATION
Teams who are interested in using these accommodations have to register before 16th February 2001. After this date no more registrations can be accepted. Accommodation will be allocated after the registrations. Registrations have to be sent to the address for the entries.
13 MEALS
CUS Milano is pleased to offer dinner to all the participants during the University Party on Saturday 7th April 2001.
CUS Milano gives the possibility of having meals at the special price.
During the Regatta there is a restaurant-service for the athletes and non-athletes at the special price of £ 20.000 ( 10 EURO ) In the nautical Centre there is a bar for a breakfast and fast-food. The Restaurant is open only with the prepaid rowerstickets. Tickets will be available at the Team Manager Meeting.
14 TRANSPORT OF BOATS
Each team is responsible for the insurance of the own boats. CUS Milano declines all liabilities for theft and all kind of damages to the boat. All police and security service regulations must be strictly observed.
15 OTHER INFORMATION
Weigh-in: Coxes have to weigh-in according to FISA Rules of Racing. The weighing centre is open two hours before races start. The weigh-in is located at the CUS Milano Nautical Centre. Liability: Insurance for equipment and persons is the responsibility of the participants. The CUS Milano declines all liabilities for any damage incurred in the regatta area. Camping: Camping in the area of the Idroscalo is strictly forbidden as this a protected natural area.
